Biography

Rongwei Wu, PhD in Plastic Surgery from Peking Union Medical College, is an Attending Physician at the Second Center for Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Since 2011, Dr. Wu has been engaged in clinical, research, and teaching work in plastic and aesthetic surgery at the hospital. She has successively completed systematic multidisciplinary training at the Ear Plastic and Reconstructive Center, Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Center, Body Contouring and Fat Grafting Center, Gynecologic Plastic Surgery Center, Comprehensive Scar Treatment Center, Nasal Plastic and Reconstructive Center, and Cleft Lip and Palate Center, and has accumulated extensive clinical experience. In research, in 2014 she served as principal investigator for one Peking Union Medical College Graduate Innovation Fund project entitled “Application of Three-Dimensional Digital Technology to Evaluate Facial Fat Grafting with Different Purification Methods”, and has participated multiple times in major projects such as General Program and Young Scientists Fund projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects, Public Welfare Industry Special Fund projects, and Capital Clinical Research projects of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. As first author, she has published 4 SCI papers in the field of plastic surgery and 9 papers in Chinese core journals. She has attended many domestic and international academic conferences on plastic surgery. In 2015, she received the National Scholarship, the Second Prize at the 7th Song Ruyao Plastic Surgery Young Physicians Forum, and the Second Prize at the First National Doctoral Academic Forum on Plastic Surgery.
